There truly is no place quite like this seven mile sandbar that juts out into Boston Harbor. The town of Hull may only occupy three square miles of land, but its 28-mile shoreline that borders ocean, bay, river and  pond, is bursting with visual delights throughout the year.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Since moving to Boston's South Shore in September 2008, photographer Patricia Abbate has been inspired to document the natural beauty that she has found here in photographs. Acquiring her first camera when she was six, she remembers posing the family dog, creating still life vingettes with pumpkins and flowers from her mother's garden, and positioning her siblings in front of blooming forsythia to capture a special moment. Since then, she has always found a way to incorporate photography into her professional career as a journalist, corporate marketing executive, public relations specialist and publicist, and as an executive at various national non-profit organizations. Her volunteer efforts have also given her the opportunity to photograph celebrities, sports figures and corporate philanthropists--photos that have subsequently been published in annual reports, corporate brochures, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, and web sites.

Along with her fine art landscape and seascape photography, Patricia also uses her skills for commercial projects including photojournalism, special events, publicity, portraits, weddings, corporate identity and real estate.

Her work is currently featured in local hotels, specialty and gifts shops, the Nantaskart! Gallery, and is included in commercial and celebrity web sites. Her work has been featured in The Boston Globe, the Old Farmer's Almanac, The Patriot Ledger, The Hull Times, The Scituate Mariner, and South Shore Living Magazine.
